Where is my childhood?
Where have I left it behind?
Where have I lost it
In the way of life?
When parents were bubbly
And grandparents alive.
Where is my childhood
Where are those days so bright?
When tension and stress were foreign words
And Mom and dad were my buffers.
When siblings were just a room away
And not on the opposite side of the earth.
Where is my childhood?
When home meant being with loved ones
And not just an address on Aadhar.
When grandma’s cooked food
Could beat five Michelin stars.
When the bedtime stories by grandpa
Were as good as meditation.
When papas assuring hand on hand
Was more affective than a modern day
“Therapy” session.
Where is my childhood
When eyes were so full of dreams?
Where have I lost my childhood
On my way to life!
